Lobres is a located in the municipal of Salobreña, in the province of Granada, within the Autonomous Community of Andalusia.location_wide

Popular with Spanish and foreign visitors alike, Lobres is just 10 minutes from the beaches yet retains a traditional Spanish feel.

In recent years Lobres has gained publicity for its Bronze Age and Neolithic remains discovered in the “Cueva de Capitan” (Captain’s cave) near the village, and now on display in the archaeological museum in Granada.

A new motorway section (completing the coastal Mediterranean route from Cadiz to Barcelona) will finally give the area fast and easy access to Malaga, Almeria as well as joining the existing motorway to Granada, it is expected to open in early 2010.

Lobres, perfectly positioned to take advantage of the new communication routes to be completed in 2010. The area as a whole will benefit from an increase in population and investment.

The town is predominantly residential with a small number of bars and restaurants. The nearby city of Motril provides a complete range of commercial facilities as well as the main hospital in the area.location_aerial

Motril is an industrial port that is to be expanded to cater for commercial ships. This expansion is to be complimented by a new connection to the main railway system in Granada. And further enhancing the area’s travel system are three international airports, all within 1 hour’s drive:
